Collecting Policy
A single rule, written before it was convenient, so that it can be used to say no.
Caza Rios collects material knowledge and everyday intelligence: craftsmanship and the judgement behind it, cultural context and how it changes, ecological relationships, and objects or practices that reveal the larger systems holding them in place. It refuses trend-driven accumulation, decontextualised aesthetics, undisclosed promotion, and extraction without attribution. If a thing cannot be sourced, situated, and credited to the people who know it best, it does not enter the archive.
Field Note to Cabinet Entry
A Field Note records an encounter, observation, or unresolved question. It becomes a Cabinet Entry only after it has been examined through all Five Lenses, sourced, connected to at least one existing entry or research question, and reviewed for what remains uncertain.

- 04Reviewed for what remains uncertain, and that uncertainty stated in the entry.
Notes that do not meet the rule stay notes. There is no publishing schedule: an entry appears when it passes the rule, not when a month comes around.
Accession numbers
CR numbers are permanent accession numbers. They are never reused, never reordered, and never renumbered. A withdrawn entry keeps its number and states why it was withdrawn.
