Image & Source Policy
An image without provenance is a claim without a source. They are treated the same here.
Every image carries its creator, date, place, source, and nature — documentary, archival, commissioned, or generated. Generated images are labelled in the caption and never presented in documentary grammar. Where a photographer is unknown, that is stated rather than left blank.

Each entry numbers its sources in the order they were used, not by rank. Personal experience is declared as such.

Generated image — not documentary
Generated images appear inside a dotted frame like this one and are labelled in the caption. They are never cropped, graded, or presented as though they were photographed in a real place.
Several images in the current version are generated and are marked as such. They will be replaced with documentary photography as the objects are photographed. Each replacement will be logged in Revisions & Errata.
